The Patient Accounts Clerk performs various office tasks in order to support the Patient Accounts department.  Responsibilities can include, but are not limited to release of medical information, indexing scanned images, processing paper claims, and other duties as required to support billing and collection efforts.  Demonstrates a high level of accuracy considering the volume and filing requirements of the various insurance payers. Also recognizes the priorities of the work to be completed in order to maximize efficiency.

Education – High School diploma or GED is required.

Experience – One year of experience working in a hospital or physician collections/centralized billing function is preferred.

Licensure/Certification – N/A

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Strong analytical, communication and organization skills and 40 wpm typing speed are required.

Salary range: $17 to $24 (*offers based on experience required for position)
