Medical Office Associate I: Full Time Days, Atlantic Rehab Raritan Speech Pathology and Audiology

Atlantic Health is seeking for a reliable, motivated and team-oriented individual to join our outpatient Speech Pathology and Audiology site located in Raritan, NJ. This is a full time position that will come with benefits that include Medical, Paid Time Off, and Tuition Reimbursement. This position is Monday through Friday, from 8a-4p. 

The Medical Office Associate position plays a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients by providing efficient front desk operations, exceptional customer service and administrative support to our clinical team.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Checks patients in/out in EPIC
• Manages referrals
• Monitors and schedules PT online appointment request portal 
• Runs estimates, collects co-pays and up front balances
• Addresses EPIC work queues and maintains them in good standing 
• Manages departmental phone lines 
• Monitors appointment reminder system
• Orders office and clinical supplies as needed
• Assists patients with problem solving issues related to scheduling, registration, insurance, copays, etc.
• Provides excellent customer service 
• Completes all AHS and role specific mandatory trainings
• Assists with insurance responsibilities as needed (depending on site volumes)
• Maintains proper communication with supervisor and staff, including email correspondence and others in a timely manner 
• Performs other administrative tasks as needed 
• Assist with training 
   

Required: 
1. High School Diploma or equivalent experience 
 

Preferred: 
1. EPIC experience

2. Previous experience in a health facility or Customer Service experience.
