Job Responsibilities:
- Provides Mechanical Engineering technical expertise to meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Responsible for creating and evaluating mechanical designs using 3D CAD and other engineering tools.
- Develops custom equations and solutions using various engineering tools.
- Provides engineering guidance and uses advanced engineering techniques to meet complex design criteria.
- Assists with building prototype equipment and systems for testing.
- Provides recommendations for tests results, assists, and supervises complex testing.
- Coordinates with project leads to produce project deliverables by assessing input requirements and applying functional specifications.
- Reviews and assesses appropriate standards, regulations, and specifications for testing and reliability analysis on projects and processes.
- Delivers innovative Intellectual Property recommendations for Halliburton and reviews technical papers.
- Promotes and contributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains open lines of communication with all levels of the organization.
- Serves as a technical expert by coaching and developing other employees.
- Represents Halliburton in professional societies in area of specialization.
- Previous Mechanical Engineering experience with downhole Wireline tools is preferred.
Education and Minimum Requirements:
- Skills acquired through the completion of a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline. Minimum educational requirement of a doctoral degree and zero years’ experience or a master’s degree and two or more years’ related experience or a bachelor’s degree and four or more years’ related experience.
- Candidates having qualification that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available from the Senior Mechanical Engineer, Principal Mechanical Engineer up to the Advisor Mechanical Engineer.
