About the role

Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring that financial strategies align with the overall goals of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the executive tea

- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the overall goals of the organization

- Oversee all financial activities of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

- Manage the company's financial risk and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

- Provide financial analysis and guidance to the executive team to support decision-making

- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and auditors

- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to support the organization's goals

-Maintain organization finances.

-Monthly documentation to State of Tennessee for DDA ?reimbursements. ?

?-Monitor and correct financial discrepancies to prevent payment delays.

-Confer with CPA and Auditing Firms to ensure compliance with GAAP regulations.

-Work with Agency CPA to prepare financial information for the quarterly Executive Board meetings.

-Manage Agency’s payroll processing with ?HR Department.

-Participate in Annual Operating Budget preparation and ensure its submission to the Board of Directors, CEO.

-Review Cost Plans with Financial and Services Specialist and reconciles accordingly.

-Implement and monitor the budget.

-Prepare invoices, billings, admittance paperwork fo?r all local, state, and federal agencies reimbursement.

-Coordinate ?preparing Annual Federal Tax Return.

-Submit ?Monthly billing to State DDA for ??reimbursements. ?Monitor and correct financial discrepancies to prevent payment delays.

-Confer with CPA and Auditing Firms to ensure compliance with GAAP regulations.

-Work with Agency CPA to prepare financial information for the quarterly Executive Board meetings.

-Coordinate Agency’s payroll processing with organization ?CPA.

-Participate in Annual Operating Budget preparation and ensure submission to the Board of Directors, CEO.

-Review Cost Plans with Financial and Services Specialist and reconcile accordingly.

-Confer and resolve financial discrepancies with DDA, Finance Accountability Review (FAR), Investigations and other affiliates in a timely and prudent manner.

-Implement and monitor the budget.

-Prepare payments, invoices, billings.

-Work with the Financial Services Manager.



Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred

- 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role

- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the executive team

- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment preferred-

Proven ability to multi-task, work independently and as a valuable team member. -Possess excellent public speaking ability and interpersonal skills, both internally and publicly when representing Nia Association.

 -Ability to handle sensitive issues while protecting others' welfare

-Ability to be honest, reliable, dependable, and professional at all times.
