Job Description:
The LSU Speech, Language, Hearing Clinic in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders is seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech Language Pathology Clinical Faculty to join our dynamic team at Louisiana State University. This position offers the opportunity to lead and mentor undergraduate and graduate students while contributing to the academic and clinical excellence of our university's Speech-Language Pathology Department.
Position Type: Part-time, Clinical Faculty
Responsibilities:
(45%) Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
- Oversee clinical services provided by students, ensuring compliance with evidence based practice and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with faculty to develop and implement clinical education programs that align with academic coursework and accreditation standards.
(25%) Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development initiatives for students.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and excellence in clinical practice.
(25%) Manage clinical scheduling for clinical site
(5%) Departmental administrative activities
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certified (CCC-SLP)
- Current license to practice speech-language pathology in Louisiana
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
- Demonstrated expertise in pediatric disorders (Birth-5)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a diverse team of students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in university or academic settings preferred, but not required, with a record of teaching and/or clinical supervision
Minor Contact -This position and/or position's responsibilities require work directly with minors. Finger printing and National Sex Offender Registry check required per FASOP HR-04.
