Our Animal Health Marketing team takes a customer centric perspective using customer feedback and market intelligence data. Using this data, we design, develop and deploy products, platforms, brands and marketing initiatives that ensure we can improve the health and well-being of animals everywhere.
PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION
The Associate Director - Biologicals, Global Marketing is part of the Global Companion Animal (CA) Biologicals team within Global Marketing. This unit sets the strategic direction for the companion animal biologicals franchise worldwide and ensures alignment with the organization. The team also develops brand strategy and marketing campaigns for the Nobivac range in alignment with customer and market needs and reflecting global shifts and trends. The team has responsibility for both the existing range of vaccines as well as the future pipeline. This role will contribute to the Global Companion Animal Biologicals team with insights, support, and ownership of projects through to deployment. The role will work closely with various internal and external partners including but not limited to R&D, Supply chain, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, procurement, legal, local markets, customers and marketing agencies. The nature of the role requires flexibility to travel to fulfill the tasks and responsibilities of the position – up to 15-20%. The role reports to the Global Marketing Director, CA Biologicals and is based in Madison, New Jersey or in Europe.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
PRINCIPAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Actively owning deliverables that support the existing range of companion animal vaccines and local market needs across the globe.
Providing support to the Global Director Companion Animal Biologicals on pipeline products and new product launch activities, including marketing plan preparation, asset creation and management, naming, packaging etc.
Leading cross-functional Product Introduction Teams with close collaboration and alignment with Global Marketing Director. Ensuring market readiness for new product launches.
Conducting market analysis to support and drive decisions on future projects and strategic areas which may include pricing, business development opportunities etc.
Managing companion animal biologicals-associated devices and projects
Creating, developing and deploying international promotional and marketing toolkits and campaigns
Collaborating and partnering with regions, markets, and customers to gain insights; sharing learnings with our company's team and internal partners (R&D, Regulatory, Supply chain etc.) to support both the current and future-state portfolio; supporting the adoption of best practices
Owning ad hoc portfolio activities and initiatives
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably a degree in life sciences, biology, animal or agriculture science, marketing or business, or a related business area. Advanced degree preferred.
Required:
Minimum 7 years relevant work experience
Prior animal health or human health experience
Biologicals experience
Strong data-driven strategic business thinking capabilities and analytical skills
Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including intercultural, interpersonal, and general communication; effective in a collaborative team environment
Passion, flexibility, and commitment to the role
Ability to deliver high quality accurate output on time in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize
Demonstrate a customer-centric, action-oriented and collaborative approach to working
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Product launch experience
Companion animal experience highly preferred
Prior strategic marketing experience
Global business experience
Promotion-oriented marketing experience: Digital expertise, Experience creating and updating web assets
