Commercial Manager, Northern Ireland

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to drive performance and growth across Northern Ireland. Leading the Sales and Service functions

 

You will lead a geographically dispersed team of Sales Breeding Advisors and Reproductive Management Specialists, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 

You will possess strong commercial acumen, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You Will

• Leadership & Team Development

  • Inspire and manage a high-performing team across Northern Ireland.
  • Set clear expectations, provide regular coaching, and embed a culture of engagement and accountability.

• Market Insight & Risk Management

  • Maintain strong external networks to identify market opportunities and mitigate risks proactively.

• Customer Growth & Onboarding

  • Partner with Regional Business Managers and Sales teams to identify and convert new customer opportunities.
  • Oversee onboarding processes to ensure seamless transitions and early-stage customer satisfaction.

• Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships across Genus ABS to support employee retention and customer satisfaction.

• Commercial & Financial Oversight

  • Monitor performance metrics and P&L data to drive efficiency and profitability.

• Brand & Stakeholder Representation

  • Represent Genus ABS professionally to internal and external stakeholders.

• Health, Safety & Wellbeing

  • Champion health and safety standards in partnership with H&S teams.

• Training & Capability Development

  • Collaborate with internal experts to deliver impactful coaching and training.

• Strategic Engagement

  • Act as a central connector between field operations, technical services, marketing, finance, and people teams.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in a geographically dispersed team environment.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing P&L.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive customer growth and satisfaction.
• Knowledge of agricultural or animal breeding services is a plus.
• Commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing standards.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration and strategic alignment.
