The School Operations Senior Director provides superior operational support to ensure excellent service is achieved. This role is responsible for leading large, often cross-functional programs, with significant business value and return on investment to successful completion.

· Proactively seeks out opportunities to provide operational support that contributes to providing excellent service to the schools;

· Ideate, design and model innovative academic, retention and operational programs;

· Define the processes and tools for a highly contributing functional area;

· Own efforts with other functional groups to develop, manage, track, and analyze supports, tools, methods and procedures and processes to identify key improvement opportunities;

· Analyzes and manages operating expense budgets;

· Conduct data analysis on complex data sets to inform data driven improvement recommendations;

· Create business cases that show clear ROI of program and tool recommendations;

· Interface with all levels of leadership and employees, executes organizational development strategy, and drives change initiatives.

· Drive innovative change through teams to automating manual processes;

· Oversee and direct programs and projects, cross functional teams and vendors toward successful completion;

· Oversee ongoing success metrics for a highly contributing functional area;

· Drive implementation of programs with schools and K12 cross functional teams

· Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises up to 6 employees. Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in education or related field AND

· Five (5) years of senior level virtual school operations experience AND

· Five (5) years of operations management experience OR

· Equivalent combination of education and experience

· Experience with public school laws and regulations

· Excellent time-management skills

· Proven track record of timely successful task/project completion

· Ability to learn and experience using varied, fast changing systems

· Strong initiative and innovative leadership

· Equivalent combination of education and experience

· Strong team management experience

· Goal oriented individual who has demonstrates initiative

· MS 365; Web proficiency.

· Ability to travel 25% of the time

· Ability to clear required background check

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

We anticipate the salary range to be $86,429.20 to $227,206.80. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
