The Team:
The DPU team cares for day admitted patients for procedures including gastroenterology, Cardiology, Radiology, Infusions, Respiratory and Endocrine specialties. It is a very busy unit with the successful applicant required to work within the multidisciplinary team.
The Role:
The successful applicant will be responsible for care of patients in the Day Procedure Unit. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a busy environment the nurse will display excellence in practice and be part of a unit that strives for a culture of learning.
You will need:
- Knowledge and skills in Endoscopy, Anaesthetic and Post anaesthetic care unit nursing care is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Details of appointment:
- Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 40 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join us.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
