What you will do
Role Overview:
The Tax Provision Associate Director will prepare or review the US, Canadian, and Mexican income tax provisions as well as the annual projection of estimated taxable income to verify the validity of the companies deferred tax assets. Additionally theTax Provision Associate Director will manage and mentor the Tax Provision Sr. Associate and Tax Provision Associate.
Main responsibilities:
- Prepare or review quarterly tax provisions and deferred tax calculations to ensure deferred tax balances are accurately reported
- Prepare or review quarterly tax provision’s effective tax rate computations
- Interact with Accounting Department staff and other departments as needed to ensure that the Tax Department obtains all information needed for the tax provision calculation and reporting
- Prepare projected income tax estimates under various assumptions
- Assist with the Preparation of Canadian corporate and partnership income tax returns and withholding tax returns
- Additional duties as required

What are we looking for
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting
- 8+ years in public or industry experience in preparing or reviewing tax provisions
- CPA preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and state corporate and partnership taxation
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles
- Knowledgeable with SOX Act regulations
- Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred; Strong Microsoft Excel skills (knowledge of complex functions and formulas)
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred

Physical demands & working conditions:
- Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
- Walking: Ability to walk .5 to 2 miles per day, including across unpaved and rough surfaces when on project sites.
- Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal, diagram, or scheduled form
- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
