Summary: The Computer Software Engineering Intern will provide programming support for various Engineering projects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Think logically and reasonably to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  •  Design and develop production ready code.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Research solutions to project concerns, analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Understand department needs and seek clarification when needed.
  • Test and develop your own creative solutions with ample computational resources and ensure required performance and usability is met
  • Positively impact teams by enhancing applications across our company
  • Take Measurements and create designs.
  • Adheres to and enforces safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
  • Reports food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

Education and/or Experience:                  

  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Currently attending accredited institution pursuing a degree in Computer Science/Engineering. 

 

Language Skills:                                                        

 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:                                                               

 Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus.

 

Reasoning Ability:                                                    

 Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:        

  • Knowledge of and experience working with Microsoft Office, MS-DOS, and Windows
  •  Experience in Linux
  • IP Networks
  • Familiarity with Python and C++
