Manager, Transport Communications - Operations Intelligence Center - IMC

MAJOR FUNCTION: 

The Command Center Manager is responsible for overseeing all communication operations, communication equipment, technology services and personnel of their assigned shift. 

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
• Advanced Degree Associates or greater in EMS, business or leadership preferred.
• 5years of experience in an active communications center which dispatches Emergency Medical Services/Transport required.
• 3years of experience providing prehospital emergency medical care preferred.
• Experience in dynamic resource deployment preferred.
• Experience with CAD software and reporting preferred.

Certifications/ Licensure:

• National Emergency Institute National Basic 911 required.
• National Emergency Communication Institute Emergency Medical Dispatch.
• National Emergency Communication Institute Emergency Medical Dispatch Instructor.
• Incident Command System 100, 200, 300, 700, 800.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Uses logic and reasoning to analyze, understand, and evaluate complex situations.
• Identifies the strengths and weaknesses of alternative approaches or solutions to a situation.
• Exercises appropriate judgment in establishing priorities.
• Considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
• Develops and maintains cooperative and professional relationships with employees at all levels, representatives from various departments, and outside agencies.
• Effectively responds to and resolves complex inquiries and disputes.
• Must be capable of demonstrating competence in the use of computer equipment and Microsoft Office.
