Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer - Swing Rail Response Team in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a transitlocation, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activities, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to the public and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a ublic transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized entry, trespassing, and/or disruptive activity.
• Complete required reports such as incident, shift activity, and patrol logs, and follow all applicable laws, training requirements, and Allied Universal post orders for armed duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• A valid firearms permit is required.
• Baton permit is highly preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
