The Lourie Center Head Start, Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Head Start Lead Teacher, who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. Qualified candidates will be eligible for a $2000 sign-on bonus.

The Lourie Center Head Start (LCHS) program is a federally funded, community-based program for low-income families as well as pregnant women with children from birth to five years old. The program serves children with disabilities, children in foster care and families that are homeless.

As the Head Start Lead Teacher you will:
• Assist in co-constructing, researching, documenting, planning, organizing, implementing and advocating for children 3-5 years old in a culturally responsive environment that is relationship based and rich in materials and possibilities.
• Develop and implement individual plans for children. They are responsible for implementing to fidelity the research-based curriculum, and the ongoing assessment, Teaching Strategies GOLD, using research based instructional practices, working together on a team, aligning of materials and resources to support strong child outcomes, and other teacher leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications Include:
• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field required
• 1 year experience in the field required, 3 years' experience preferred.
• 90-hour course infant/toddler certification preferred.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

*Current AHC employees are not eligible for a sign-on bonus who are transferring from one entity to another and/or transferring within their entity. Employees that have terminated their employment with AHC are not eligible for a sign-on bonus prior to six months of returning if hired for a position offering a sign-on bonus.

Pay Range:
$41,299.19 - $58,302.40
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
