Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists, also referred to as MRI Technologists, utilize magnetic resonance imaging scanners to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis. MRI Technologists must be able to closely follow a physician's instructions, prepare and operate MRI equipment, position patients correctly, and effectively record the requested diagnostic images. Here, you will be joining a close-knit, hardworking and supportive team of caregivers that prioritizes quality patient care. A PRN caregiver in this position works varying 8 or 12-hour shifts, as needed.
Floating between Tradition Hospital and St. Lucie West will be required, as needed.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives for the department.
Maintain a safe, clean and economical operation.
Coordinate and answer questions regarding scheduling, networking, informatics and patient information.
Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.
Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation and contact service if necessary.
Provide copies of imaging studies in a timely manner.
Perform routine imaging, emergent, invasive and all special procedures according to the policy/protocol manual and written orders.
Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule.
