About the role
Bone Dry Roofing is hiring an Assistant Production Manager. The Assistant Production Manager will be responsible for working closely with the General Manager in sourcing and procuring materials for all projects, keeping a track of products and maintaining an on-hand working-level of products for the production team, planning and prepping for projects, filling in as needed in the production field, and helping schedule and plan projects to keep the production team flowing efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Your primary responsibility is to represent Bone Dry Roofing, Inc with the highest degree of professionalism, punctuality, and integrity while providing our customers with respect, honesty, and the highest level of customer service.
- Responsible for assisting the General Manager with material procurement, material matching, and material measuring.
- Responsible for picking all material ordered for projects prior to the start of the project.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized shop environment.
- Responsible for picking and dropping samples of material to client’s homes to match materials prior to the start of the project.
- Responsible for keeping a track of all materials in-house and maintaining a good working-level of product at the shop.
- Work closely with the General Manager, manufacturers and suppliers to maintain positive relationships.
- Fill-in when needed by running water tests, performing call back appointments, aiding with the production work and office work, as well as running materials.
Skills Needed:
- Will be required to use all types of ladders. (We will teach ladder safety)
- Will be required to get on all types of roofs. (We will teach roof walking techniques and safety)
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Time Management - Managing your time well in order to complete all responsibilities in a timely manner.
- Articulated Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Pass a background check
- Prior customer service experience
- Prior management experience helpful
