Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Chelmsford, MA facility.
This facility is a leading hub for innovation in microelectronics, supporting critical aerospace and defense programs. Located in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, our team is dedicated to producing advanced technology solutions that safeguard national security and advance the industry.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you'll gain an understanding of all assembly techniques and materials used to produce microwave hybrids including substrate and die epoxy attach as well as wire bonding. You should have experience with J-STD-001 solder assembly, conductive epoxy attach of substrates and semiconductor die, gold wedge and ball-bonding, and seal / hermeticity testing. You'll design the sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tooling and other functions that affect product performance. You will inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency. You'll investigate hardware failures and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Finally, you will ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

The Locale: Chelmsford is a charming suburb of Boston located about 25 miles northwest of that city. Chelmsford is very close to historic Lowell Massachusetts and to Nashua, New Hampshire. Chelmsford is within reach of New Hampshire’s White Mountains and awesome ski areas to the north, and the scenic coastal towns of MA and NH are about an hour east. This scenic colonial region offers lots of New England Chelmsford is about 90 minutes from Cape Cod. Boston is about 30 minutes to the east without traffic. New York City is about 4.5 hours away from Chelmsford. Waterville Valley and other major ski resorts of New Hampshire and Vermont are about 2 to 3 hours to the north. It should be noted that Chelmsford, Massachusetts is approximately 35 miles northwest of the Boston metropolitan area and offers better access to a wide range of substantially more affordable regions in the area to live. Those regions include Northeastern and North Central Massachusetts, and Southern, New Hampshire.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within one year of start date.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
