As a Security Officer - Government Unarmed Patrol Driver in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence to support a secure environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support site operations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and/or unauthorized access.
- Monitor surroundings for any unusual or suspicious activities and report observations according to established protocols.
- Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to maintain a professional presence.
- Document activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with company and client requirements.
- Support access control measures by observing entrances, exits, and/or restricted areas as directed by site-specific guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Applicants must be able to ride a bike.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
