The Team: 

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is the first cloud built specifically for the enterprise. The team develops a suite of cloud infrastructure products that includes Compute products like Bare-Metal compute, Virtual Machines, Kubernetes Services, and Serverless Computing; Storage products like Block Store, Object Store and File Systems; Networking products like SDN, Load Balancers, and DNS; Security products like Key management and Identity systems; and Platform products like Notifications, Monitoring, and Streaming. In addition to these, we are also building a number of new services from the ground up. 

The OCI Supply Chain Organization plays a crucial role in sourcing and manufacturing the racks that support our cloud and on-premises solutions, encompassing computing, networking, storage, and GPU-based products. They collaborate with a global supply chain to build, test, and deliver these solutions to our data centers and on-premises customers around the world.

What You’ll Do:

We are seeking elite students with the expertise and passion for solving challenging unique problems. You will Interact with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers. You will look at data and insights beyond what we do as it relates to the designs and end customer as well. 

 

What You’ll Bring: (Objective Minimum Qualifications)

To be considered for a Data Scientist position, the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below must be met. Please ensure the application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs. 

  • Have graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering Management, Information Systems Management, Business Analytics, (or an equivalent science/engineering field) within 12 months of actual start date, no later than August 2025. (Start date for all new grad roles: Summer/Fall 2025)
  • Are proficient (e.g., can complete coding projects without any assistance) in at least one of the following programming languages:
    • Java, C, C++, Python, SQL, JavaScript, R, PHP, Swift, Go, C#, Matlab, Julia, Kotlin
  • Have academic course work, projects, internships, and/or research experience in one or more of the following Computer Science areas:
    • Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Natural Language Processing
    • Big Data / Data Structures / Algorithms
    • Cloud Computing
    • Computer Systems / Distributed Systems /Embedded Systems / Operating Systems
    • Database Systems/Design
    • Object Oriented Design
    • Web/Mobile Development
    • User Interface Design
  • Attend a university in the US.
  • Authorized to work in the US in 2025.

Other Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
