Principal Cybersecurity - Network Security Engineer

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Handles numerous important projects such as SME for multiple environments, intensive troubleshooting and SME for firewall policy and log collection/reporting.
• Serves as technical resource for peers and other teams/organizations.   
• Engage with various stakeholders such as vendors, external business partners, application development teams, additional technical support personnel, and leadership to deliver technical assessments, perform analyses, and resolve issues effectively.
• Act as a tier 4 resource and provide training as required to operations teams.
• Oversee complex projects and migrations to securely empower partners, identify and mitigate potential security risks, address outages, and manage events that could pose significant threats to AT&T.

Qualifications:

• Preferred Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires 8-10 years of related experience.
• Extensive experience configuring devices, next gen policies and troubleshooting all aspects of TCP/IP network configurations and firewalls across the following technologies: Juniper, Palo Alto or Fortinet.
• Experience managing firewall and firewall management platforms including system design, performance testing, O/S and version upgrades, DR, log collection and reporting.
• Requires excellent customer service and project management skills in a highly technical and very fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to handle high level escalations during intensive troubleshooting and auditing requirements.
• Additionally, this role demands the enforcement of best practices for security and perimeter technologies, along with a thorough understanding of business operations, including cloud services, content management, data centers, application development and hosting, and audit requirements.
• Requires occasional 24x7 on-call technical support.
• Requires Linux systems management experience using containers and virtual machines.
• Requires Daily Office Presence-5 days a week in the listed location. No relocation assistance is provided.

Must have firewall and virtualization experience.

Must know networking and OSI model at senior to expert level

Education:

Preferred Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or Cyber Security or equivalent experience.

Our Principal Cybersecurity, earns between $141,300.00-$211,900.00 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
