We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to manage various aspects of HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processing, benefits administration, leave of absence management, billing audit procedures, and experience in facilitating smooth onboarding and offboarding processes. This role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process payroll, including but not limited to calculating wages, processing deductions, and ensuring the accuracy of timesheets.
- Administer employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
- Own the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientations, collecting required documentation, and coordinating with various departments.
- Own the offboarding process for departing employees, including conducting exit interviews, processing termination paperwork, and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Manage leave of absence requests and ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Assist in annual agency auditing and reporting, such as 401(k), EEOC, California pay data, and health plans.
- Conduct regular audits of HR operations billing to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Manage external vendors' invoices to ensure timely payment.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Assist in HR projects and initiatives as needed.
- 3 years + experience working in HR roles with a focus on payroll, benefits administration, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or related field preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is required
- Advanced Excel skills and familiar with ADP Workforce Now.
- Basic understanding of payroll principles, regulations, and tax laws.
- Familiarity with benefits administration including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
