Uptime.com, a leader in website monitoring solutions, is seeking an innovative and data-driven Growth Engineer to join our dynamic team. We’re looking for a creative thinker who is passionate about growth, software engineering, and data analytics.
Job Overview:
As a Growth Engineer, you will have a vital role in growing our brand and customer base by utilizing your technical and marketing skills. You will be at the crossroads of engineering and marketing, applying a systematic and methodical approach to achieve growth. Your responsibilities will include generating ideas, outlining, and executing growth experiments, improving product functionality, and developing internal tools to enrich user experiences and increase conversions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee software, processes, and content to drive growth.
- Execute user acquisition strategies through SEO/PPC campaigns.
- Conduct conversion optimization by performing A/B testing and optimizing onboarding procedures.
- Contribute to product enhancements and construct internal tools to support growth.
- Engage in both frontend and backend development activities related to growth initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and product managers.
- Analyze and interpret data to derive insights and inform growth strategies.
- Prioritize and experiment with ideas using frameworks such as RICE.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in both frontend and backend development.
- Thorough comprehension of business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and growth metrics.
- Outstanding communication proficiency, capable of clearly explaining technical and product-related concepts.
- Practical thinker with a talent for making strategic decisions.
- Adept in various analytics software and methodologies such as R, Python, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and SciPy.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and basic database management.
- Moderate-level experience in both data analysis and query analysis.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Comfortable with conducting rapid experiments and iterations.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Prior experience in a SaaS environment as a full-stack engineer is prefered.
- Proficiency in GitHub, open-source tooling, and general scripting is required.
- Understanding of marketing basics and growth hacking methodologies is necessary.
