ABOUT THE JOB

As the Accounting Intern you will perform general monthly close and journal entry tasks. This role will also assist in preparing and reviewing financial documents, reports, and statements. The Accounting Intern is a self-starting professional who is comfortable in multiple areas of accounting and eager to expand their skill set (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Reconciliations, etc.) 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform tasks over all areas of accounting: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger 
  • Assist with the month-end closing process, conducting research, and making correction journal entries for account discrepancies 
  • Prepare and post journal entries including accrual entries 
  • Perform various complex account analysis and reconciliations 
  • Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals 
  • Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential 
  • Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request 

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree (in progress or near completion) in Accounting, Finance or Business.
