A Senior Systems Engineer to support to the Human Landing System (HLS) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) office's Utilization Payload Team in the areas of systems engineering. This support includes systems-level interface requirements developments and management, inputs to and review of project architecture, design & documentation, technical coordination, export control compliance, verification requirements development, verification planning, and problem resolution.
Senior Engineers also provide support in the discipline areas of avionics, software, power, ECLSS, structures, thermal, and communications, if/as needed by the Project. Establishes the development of payload integration and interface definition documentation. The contractor shall perform Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) roles for SpaceX and/or Blue Origin in utilizing the JIRA tool. The contractor shall work with assigned HLS-manifested payloads in the areas of systems engineering including participating in technical reviews and document reviews
Some additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Serve as HLS Utilization representatives on mission directorate panels that review Artemis payload calls issued by those directorates (e.g. SMD’s Artemis 4 Deployed Instruments call)
· Serve as HLS Utilization representatives to requirements development teams
• Provide HLS Utilization support to cross-program reviews (e.g. joint control boards, the M2M control board, major reviews on other Artemis programs, etc.)
• Engage in payload interface design, as required, with the HLS lander providers and other Artemis programs
• Engage in discussions with HLS, M2M, and other Artemis programs regarding common external payload interfaces between the HLS lander(s) and other Artemis platforms
• Develop the HLS payload integration process; identify how and when payload milestones feed into the HLS Program schedule; coordinate synchronization of the HLS payload integration process and milestones with the Artemis payload integration process and milestones
