What you'll do...

Walmarts Gen AI powered My Assistant team is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer. This individual will play a pivotal role in reshaping, designing and implementing My Assistant Experience as a platform which can be integrated, leveraged, and supported as a single stop shop for all our associate needs. This role offers significant growth prospects and reports directly to the Director of the Walmart My Assistant Experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership ; Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide a talented engineering team in an Agile environment.

Platform Development: Develop a plug-and-play framework that enables multiple consumers across Walmart to access various My Assistant capabilities quickly and efficiently.

Architectural Design: Focus on platform architectural design to enhance scalability, flexibility, and accessibility.

AI Integration: Enable business and associates to leverage AI-powered My Assistant with minimal technical expertise.

API Design: Develop simple, reusable abstractions for complex operations across systems, focusing on large-scale production environments.

What You'll Do:

Drive Innovation: Spearhead the development of innovative solutions to enhance digital experiences for Walmart associates through My Assistant platform.

Collaborative Leadership: Mentor, develop and guide a dynamic team of engineers from design, coding and implementation standpoint, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Architect and Design: Oversee and develop architectural design of the My Assistant platform to ensure it meets business needs and technical requirements.

Enhance Scalability: Develop scalable solutions that support the growing demands of the business and its associates.

Integration and Deployment: Ensure seamless integration across consumers and deployment of AI capabilities within the My Assistant platform.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables.

What You'll Bring

Experience: Proven experience in building distributed systems, solving complex problems, mentoring engineering teams, develop and support large-scale projects.

Technical Skills: Strong background in architectural design and API development for production environment. Some of the tech stack includes React Native, React Js, Node Js, Java (Nice to have), Microservices, BFF design patterns, cloud deployments, CI/CD etc

Qualifications

In addition to being technically sound, results driven with a strong operational background and impressive analytical ability, you will need the following to be successful:

• You are an architect with 8+ years of experience building highly scalable, high performance, responsive web applications.

• 6+ years of Experience with React Native or React, Node Js, BFF and their ecosystems.

• 4+ years of Experience with IOS and Android

• Comfortable working with Models, Resolvers, and Mutations on the server as well as Queries in the UI.
