Accounting Intern

Role overview: 

Nursa Inc. is currently seeking to hire an Accounting Intern to work with the corporate team in Murray Utah. An Accounting Intern is primarily responsible for documenting expense approvals, categorizing expenses, and using professional judgment in reconciling bank accounts. The Accounting Intern will be an integral part of Nursa’s accounting for the Procure to Pay Cycle. The Accounting Intern is expected to have a basic understanding of fundamental accounting practices. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude and a desire to deepen their accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate directly with vendors and Nursa personnel regarding invoices and account categorization

• Be engaged in building a world-class A/P process, supporting optimization of cash flow from operations

• Perform day-to-day accounting for accounts payable

• Assist in documenting and monitoring expenditures to safeguard Nursa Assets

• Follow and comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Qualifications: 

• 2-3+ years of relevant accounting education or experience

• In pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting

• Comfortable communicating professionally internal stakeholders

• Proficiency with Excel

• Understanding and application of GAAP

• High collaborative IQ

• Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organizational and project management skills

• Ability to operate in accounting systems and improve process efficiency
