Role: 

The Creative Executive II manages the development and production of assigned production in the feature film space.  This position will develop and cultivate relationships with industry contacts (i.e. writers, agents, directors and talent) in order to both staff projects and source ideas which will be developed into features. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides creative support (feedback, research, etc.) to VP on projects through all stages of development and production
  • Generate lists of filmmakers, writers, directors, and actors, having an extensive knowledge of competitive landscape to gather information
  • Consistently researches and identifies new talent, both emerging and veteran  
  • Develop new creative ideas, content and concepts
  • Effective liaison with writers, producers, directors, and other talent
  • Liaise with Business Affairs and Legal on progress for talent negotiations
  • Provides notes on pitches, outlines, scripts, and cuts
  • Identifies and pursue potential new business opportunities as needed

Required Skills:

  • 1-2 years of experience working as a Creative Executive in the Entertainment industry, Studio or Production Company
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to work in the office (Culver City) at least 4 days a week
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Mac and PC platforms, with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Keynote & Photoshop
  • Must be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Has a strong creative point of view
  • Ability to think and carry tasks/projects through to completion
  • Has a proactive mindset with a go-getter attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize, ensuring all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Must be flexible – an ability to work in an environment where needs and priorities are subject to much revision

The anticipated base salary for this position is $86,000 to $114,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
