SUMMARY: To assist in keeping all applicable machinery, plant and grounds in the best possible condition by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Lubricates all applicable machinery and equipment on schedule or as needed.
- Attendance – Expectations would be to remain below the level of First Written Warning.
- Must work in a safe, responsible manner at all times to protect yourself and co-workers. Must wear company provided personal protective equipment.
- Must abide by all of the organization’s work rules, policies and procedures.
- Inspects machinery and equipment weekly for early detection of problems.
- Responsible for housekeeping and a clean, organized work environment guided by the principals provided by 5S+1.
- Must respect safety power lockout procedure.
- Must maintain a positive attitude and be courteous to all employees.
- Must maintain an open line of communications between other maintenance personnel and supervisor.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement opportunities using the tools within the TLBO operating system.
- Perform any repairs, installations, or refurbishments on equipment, plant and grounds as directed.
- Must have a valid forklift operator’s license and operate in such a manner to avoid damage to equipment, property or personnel.
- Responsible for keeping equipment clean.
- Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
- Communicate with the production department on needs or potential failures to avoid downtime situations.
- Address and correct any and all safety hazards, which may arise.
- May require additional schooling as determined by Maintenance Lead or Plant Manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; short correspondence; memos; and write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Also ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid driver’s license with no restrictions, and a valid forklift truck license.
