Datavant is seeking a Finance Director to oversee the execution delivery and cost efficiencies of the Product and Engineering departments. In this role, you will drive financial planning & analysis, return on investment analysis, quality, and on-time delivery KPIs. The role will operate as a strategic partner to these departments in driving operating efficiencies, productivity, and capacity planning. You will:
- Own planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Monitor actual performance and analytics against budgeting and forecasting.
- Work closely with the 2 Executive staff general managers (operational leaders for Product Management and Engineering) providing data-driven insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making, including evaluating investment opportunities, headcount planning, and cost optimization on a helpful cadence and assisting in driving continuous improvement.
- Conduct financial analysis and monitoring KPIs of investments, productivity, and quality fulfillment.
- Measure and contextualize the investment, spending, and performance of not only SG&A but also the cost of goods sold and Capex across these departments.
- With other members of the finance team, support monthly internal and external reporting and other activities to bring visibility and clarity to our stakeholders and BOD.
What you will bring to the table:
- BA/BS degree
- 7-10 years of experience in finance, with positions showing increasing responsibility and authority
- Experience with operating finance in a COGS/SG&A-heavy structure
- Ability to drive change and improvement
- Excellent written and oral communication, as well as interpersonal and influencing skills. Ability to influence a cross-functional team to reach successful outcomes.
- Master of the Excel
Bonus points if:
- Experience in the healthcare and/or software/technology field, including SAAS.
- Graduate degree in business or an analytical field

Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is $115,000-$165,000
