Medical Scribe

Metro Infectious Disease Consultant is seeking a Medical Scribe to work full-time in the clinic located in Chicago, IL. This person will be responsible for maintaining patient medical records while working directly with Physicians and providers in a clinic setting.

Primary Location: 2919 West Addison Street, Chicago, IL 60618

• This scribe must be willing to travel locally to other clinics within the Chicagoland area

Responsibilities:

• Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records system (Cerner)
• Working with a supervising Physician or Provider to complete and submit medical records
• Preparing and assembling medical record documentation/charts for the Physician
• Communicating with patients and supervising Physicians professionally
• Completing all administrative tasks efficiently
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma
• At least one year of office practice experience, preferably in a medical office setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.
