UPM Raflatac is looking for an Inside Sales Representative – Value Materials, who will be responsible for managing surplus sales, as well as relationships with customers, including resale outlets. This role is pivotal in efficiently managing surplus inventories, maximizing revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction. You will leverage your sales skills and product knowledge to identify potential buyers, negotiate deals, and facilitate the disposition of this inventory. This position requires strong communication abilities, negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position is based in Mills River, North Carolina.

What you will do
Analyze surplus inventory to determine marketability, pricing strategies, and potential buyers, and identify opportunities to liquidate these materials through targeted sales efforts.
Proactively seek out potential buyers for surplus material through various channels and vendor outlets, including cold calling, email outreach, and networking.
Engage with prospective buyers to present surplus inventory offerings and negotiate pricing while addressing buyer concerns and objections effectively, leveraging product knowledge and value propositions to close sales.
Cultivate strong relationships with buyers, understanding their needs and preferences to tailor offerings accordingly.
Collaborate with internal teams, including SBUs, planning, customer service, logistics, and quality control, to facilitate the disposition of surplus material.
Stay informed about market trends and industry developments related to surplus materials, and provide feedback to management on pricing strategies, product positioning, and market demand to optimize sales outcomes.
Keep Accounts Receivables on target level and take action in case of overdue, collect customers’ balance sheets and any other needed documents for credit control.
Provide back up in the local sales team during vacations and absences, and participate, when required, in industry events and exhibitions.
Who you are
You have relevant commercial degree/education and technical understanding of complex products
You have previous work experience in sales or customer service, especially in selling on the phone, and ideally in B-to-B environment
