Non-Motorized Maintenance Technician

The Non-Motorized Maintenance Technician is a part-time position that requires the individual to work a maximum of 29 hours per week.

The Technician provides assistance to team members responsible for maintaining the City's non-motorized network of sidewalks, pathways, and boardwalks. Non- motorized maintenance activities include, but are not limited to, vegetation clearing, panel grinding and replacement, asphalt repair, installation of fencing and/or guardrails, wooden decking and structural support replacement, and installation of signage. The Technician also performs asset inspections and logs data in the City's Asset Management program.

In the winter months, the Technician may be required to remove snow and ice from roadways or parking lots and assist with basic preventative maintenance on the City's fleet. The Technician may also be required to assist with inspection of non-motorized snow clearing activities after contractual snow removal is completed.
