POSITION SUMMARY:
The Certified Brake Assembler will be trained and certified to build brake and non-brake axles, make brake hoses, and the assembling of brake lines from the brake actuator through the frame to the brake axles and pressurizing the brake system with brake fluid.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Builds brake and non-brake axles.
Attaches brake hoses with connection fittings.
Installs brake hoses through the trailer frame from actuator to axles.
Attaches actuator to tongue of the trailer with proper nuts and bolts.
Connects brake hoses to actuator and brake axles.
Pressurizes the brake system by running brake fluid through the brake line.
Tests the brakes to make sure brake system is functioning properly.
Maintains a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Must complete and pass onsite training for Brake Certification

Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
