What You’ll Do
The People Operations Manager acts as the primary HR contact in the US, partnering closely with the Country Director and local leadership, while collaborating globally to align regional and organizational priorities. You will be responsible for overseeing all core HR operations, ensuring legal compliance, driving key people initiatives, and cultivating a culture of high performance and employee engagement. Responsibilities:1. People Operations Ownership – 30%
- Lead end-to-end HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, data management, process improvement, and HR technology implementation.
- Own and optimize HR workflows to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Leverage data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and report on key people metrics.
People Strategy & Execution – 20%
- Drive the execution of regional people strategies that support global goals while addressing local needs.
- Partner with leadership to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience.
- Identify gaps and proactively design HR solutions that scale with the business.
2. People Partnering & Leadership Support – 15%
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on performance management, conflict resolution, team development, and employee relations.
- Coach and guide leaders to build strong, inclusive, and high-performing teams.
- Act as a cultural ambassador and advocate for our people-first values.
4. Compliance & Policy Management – 15%
- Maintain full compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and reporting requirements.
- Lead the development, documentation, and communication of local HR policies and procedures.
- Serve as the internal point of contact for audits and regulatory updates.
5. Collaboration with Centers of Excellence (COEs) – 10%
- Work closely with global People team to ensure consistency and alignment of programs.
- Support the local rollout of global initiatives and provide regional insights to COE leads.
- Help design and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs tailored to US market needs.
6. Site & Culture Responsibility – 10%
- Oversee Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) programs and ensure site-level compliance and awareness.
- Champion ethics and values through proactive engagement, policy adherence, and local leadership alignment.
- Act as a go-to person for employee experience and engagement at the US site.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Strong generalist knowledge with a track record of leading regional HR operations.
- Deep understanding of US employment law and compliance.
- Experience navigating ambiguity and leading through change in dynamic environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills across all levels.
- High attention to detail, data-driven mindset, and strong execution focus.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or relevant HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
- Experience working in matrixed, global organizations.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and digital HR tools.
