Position Overview:

The AVP, Global Asset Servicing for TD Securities will work in close contact with the Front Office, Operations, Technology as well as various support partners.  You will have global responsibility with exposure to all investment banking products requiring you to have a deep understanding of all asset services for Fixed Income and Equity products.

The role will require building out the asset servicing function and forming a dedicated Operations team supporting trading desks across Global Markets.  You will lead this newly formed team with expertise of financial products, an understanding of the business strategy, and strong people management skills.

Accountabilities

• Lead the strategic and tactical direction of the Global TDS Asset Servicing team which primarily includes corporate actions and tax operations for all our FICM, Equity and Prime businesses, ensuring alignment with the TDS strategy and mandate
• Develop and oversee the execution of a strategic vision around roles, tools, talent to redesign our approach in corporate actions and tax.
• Define and oversee a centralized asset servicing function streamlining operations that are spread across 4 key jurisdictions across 6+ different operations workflows and tech stacks.
• Manage operational risk through the development of scalable consistent processes that will help to stabilize existing processes that currently experience frequent errors and result in negative client impact
• Develop and oversee a location strategy for global time-zone support and market expertise
• Lead risk mitigating activities and bring corporate actions and tax ops into Road To Strong framework
• Lead the strategic and tactical direction of Assets Servicing support team, ensuring alignment with the TDS strategy and mandate
• Responsible for the maintenance of all custody assets across the entire TDS platform including Equities, Fixed Income and the TDPS prime platform. The team responsibilities to include, dividend processing, Tax reporting and processing.  Principal and interest payments and Corporate Actions. The total portfolio is in excess of 200 Billion dollars of value consisting of over 200,000 open positions while processing in excess of 100,000 trades per day
• Influence extensively with all levels of executives across TDS Global team and Corporate partners across the federated model.  Partner with Business Partners and support functions (Compliance, Legal) to review issues, propose solutions.
