Field Service Technician

POSITION OVERVIEW

 

dormakaba is hiring a Senior Field Service Technician to work remotely in the Las Vegas area. The Field Service Technician is responsible for supporting and handling CS Escalations (level 2). The Senior Technician will also be required to support the critical functional groups of dormakaba which are Engineering, Technical Support, Product Management and Sales. This position will also be involved in testing, training, documenting, and supporting dormakaba teams as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Provide technical support to our level 1 technicians and installers of advanced complexity.  Helps coaching both as needed.
• Interface between customer & 3rd party integrated product suppliers on hardware/software issues
• Ability to interface with the customer concerning product functions and requirements, data analysis, yields and defect reporting, etc.
• Configures and installs client workstations (encoders and software) in complex network set-up configurations.
• Collect/Review/Markup building plans for Messenger projects.

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 2-3 years technical network support/troubleshooting
• Experience in Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, VPN, Visio, Windows networks using TCP/IP
• Experience in system level testing, servers, and software application testing
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Extensive travel up to 65% through US and in Montreal, QC.

 

WHAT WE PREFER

• College Degree or equivalent industry experience in information technology, or other relevant field.
• 7 plus years of experience with dormakaba hardware
