Reports to the Vice President, Brand & Culture Communications

 

What you will do:

  • Develop and activate a communications plan for Nutrien Ag Solutions’ Senior Vice President of North American Retail & Global Business Unit Executive Leadership Team to elevate the vision and priorities, internally and externally
  • Lead a thought leadership program to amplify leader voices at key industry events, media outlets, social media channels and with the internal team
  • Partner with the regional communications leads in Australia and Latin America to elevate global and local stories across the Nutrien Ag Solutions network
  • Become an embedded member of the Nutrien Ag Solutions team and the Nutrien Ag Solutions Marketing team
  • Develop PR and internal communications plans to support the marketing team objectives
  • Support crisis and issues management to mitigate reputation risk
  • Create strategic stakeholder mapping to ensure the right audiences are targeted with consistent, tailored messaging
  • Identify opportunities to amplify Nutrien Ag Solutions messages on global Nutrien channels
  • Lead the Nutrien Ag Solutions communications team to drive results and career growth
  • Support the development of Nutrien’s global communications strategy as a strong voice for the Nutrien Ag Solutions business story

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Business or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in communications or employee engagement
  • Strong understanding of the agriculture industry
  • A network of media contacts in both trade outlets and mainstream business media
  • Demonstrated experience in a large corporate environment (global is preferred) and/or agency
  • Experience supporting and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, preferably in an operational setting
  • Exceptional at working with senior stakeholders at the SVP and ELT level
  • Excellent curiosity, learning capacity and self-guided decision-making ability
  • Excellence in cross-functional collaboration and partnership
  • Thought leadership experience
  • Media relations experience
  • Paid content partnerships experience

 

Compensation & Benefits:

 

Salary Range: $116,720 - $160,490 USD. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our plan(s), which provide discretionary award opportunities reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
