Senior Platform Engineer

<p><span><span>We are seeking a skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join our CloudOps &amp; Platform Engineering team in Platform Engineering squad.</span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><span>For this role you will be based in our office in Stockholm, Solna. </span></span></p> <p><br/> <span><span><b>About the role </b><br/> This role involves developing and maintaining our platform infrastructure, with a focus on containerization, cloud services (AWS/Azure), and on-premise systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in platform engineering, cloud technologies, and some networking knowledge. Your work will contribute to helping our developers and application owners to deploy their workloads to our platform in the most effective and automated way possible. Our team's responsibility is to keep our platform up and running, and you will be an essential part of it. </span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><span>In detail, the following is part of your responsibilities: </span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Design, develop, and maintain platform infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Implement and manage containerization solutions using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Work with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure, to deploy and manage services.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes to improve efficiency.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to platform infrastructure and cloud services.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Implement best practices for platform security and compliance.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Continuously evaluate and improve the platform to meet evolving business needs.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Manage on-premise systems and ensure seamless integration with cloud services.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Provide networking support and ensure robust connectivity between systems.</span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><span><b>About you </b></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Strong knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Experience with scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Github or Azure DevOps.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Basic networking knowledge and experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.</span></span></li> <li><span><span>Fluent in English, both talking and writing. </span></span></li> </ul> <p><span><span><b>We offer you</b><br/> At Fortum, we believe in a better future and want to be involved in shaping it.
