What You Will Do 

  • Contribute to architectural deliverables on projects, working with Design Director(s) and project team(s) for all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production 

  • Support and collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives   

  • Contribute to resolution of complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions 

  • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings 

  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination 

  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs 

  • Advance the understanding that design resilience is a responsibility of every person at Gensler 

  • Cultivate design expertise with the desire to always learn, grow, and evolve 

 

Your Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program 

  • 3-6 years of relevant architecture and design experience within a commercial design firm 

  • Ideal candidate will have experience with multiple building typologies of varying scale, including commercial office and mixed-use buildings, sports and entertainment venues, workplace interiors and repositioning projects 

  • Must be proficient in Revit and the Adobe Suite. Proficiency with Rhino, Grasshopper, Parametric Modeling, Sketch-up, 3D Studio Max and VRay is a plus.  

  • Knowledge of materials, construction techniques and building codes and the design process 

  • Conceptual 3-dimensional thinking skills and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas 

  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development 

  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly 

  • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment 

  • Creativity Initiator that brings curiosity, enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude 

  • Organization, communication, and relationship building skills
