Location: The majority of work will take place from our USA Operations HQ in Atlanta, GA. However there will also be on-site opportunities throughout the USA.
Contract: Initially 12 Month Fixed Term, with the opportunity to convert to Full Time at the end of the term.
Salary: Competitive - $48k - $55k

As a Broadcast Replay Systems Technician, you will be working as part of a growing and dynamic team to deliver cutting edge Remote Replay technology to some of the country’s largest broadcasters.
The role will be based from our offices in Atlanta, with occasional travel to different sporting events. Your main responsibilities will be to successfully manage the integration of our technology with our broadcast partners (hardware and software), in order to ensure the seamless delivery of our services and products at various events. You will be part of a team that incorporates the host broadcasters onsite as well as remote operators in various locations throughout the US. You will need to be prepared to work long days at weekends and midweek evenings, as we work whenever sport happens.
Although the focus of this role is Broadcast Replay you will gain exposure to and be involved with various other services and sports as you grow in the role and become a more experienced member of the team. You will be expected to support other Hawk-Eye SMART replay systems which are owned and operated by various sporting leagues within the USA, such as Hockey, Baseball, Football, Golf, Soccer, etc, with significant potential to expand out to new areas and deliver innovative solutions to a wider range of sports.
Experience in the broadcast world would be very favorable, but is not essential. If you have a good general technical knowledge, then we can provide you with the training to make you a success in this role.
We will equip you with the technical training, support and full exposure to our systems to perform your day to day tasks but also encourage development and progression to help make an impact on what we do.
Key Responsibilities
Setting up the Hawk-Eye technology in the broadcast trucks and remote locations (either from Atlanta or onsite):
Liaising with broadcast staff to ensure that the physical set-up of the system is correct
Software configuration for the onsite engineers and remote operators
Conducting pre-event checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures
Liaising with broadcast staff and replay operators throughout events to ensure smooth delivery of services
Monitoring hardware and software performance, being able to troubleshoot and report encountered issues
Taking full responsibility for our system and representing our company
Help to drive the growth of a new product with huge development potential, supporting research and development
Work in a variety of environments; within Hawk-Eye teams and independently, across onsite, office-based or remote opportunities
Technical work in the office, including building kits, troubleshooting faulty hardware, testing software on a weekly basis.
Assisting with installation and testing of new products and services
Supporting other Hawk-Eye SMART Replay systems across MLB and NHL (and others) to ensure any issues are resolved in a timely manner with clients using the software
Taking ownership of any issues and improvements so that they are clearly communicated out to the wider SMART Replay team
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
A strong technical and broadcast grounding is preferred
Experience working with VT/replay technology is desirable, or live event/technical production
Ideally with a degree in a science, technology, mathematics or engineering course or relevant equivalent experience
Bright and enterprising with excellent analytical and problem-solving & tro
