About the Role

We are looking for the Head of Delivery of the “Data-as-a-Service” (DaaS) business. In this role, you will lead the team responsible for Snorkel’s data development pipelines, ensuring high quality and on-time delivery of complex datasets at the frontier of GenAI. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams— including research, engineering, and GTM to redefine how data powering frontier AI models is delivered using Snorkel’s state-of-the-art platform and research. In this founding role, you’ll serve as a key business leader responsible for driving operational rigor, people leadership, and strategic decision making for the business.

The person we’re looking for is someone who isn’t afraid of blank space— we want someone who can scale an organization but also roll up their sleeves to drive results. Reporting to the Head of DaaS within Snorkel’s executive team, you’ll have the ownership and agency to build from the ground up as a founding member of this rapidly scaling business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery team, including technical delivery / production managers, to drive high-performance and professional growth 
• Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic data labeling/annotation/curation projects and initiatives, across varying customers and timelines
• Implement standard operating procedures for project intake, delivery, contractor management, and quality control, ensuring consistency and scalability
• Define and execute the strategy for building high quality, high volume data pipelines 
• Collaborate cross-functionally with research, engineering, product, growth, operations, and GTM leaders operate and scale the DaaS business business

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in operations, program/project management, or related fields
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional projects from inception to completion
• Proven track record of bringing operational rigor to unstructured environments, projects and programs
• Strong technical background (e.g. computer science, engineering, data analytics)
• Strong leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and manage contractors
• Strong vendor management skills and experience overseeing external partners
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, zero-to-one environment

The salary range for this position based in the San Francisco Bay Area is $190,000 - $275,000. All offers include equity compensation in the form of employee stock options.
