About the role

Company Description

Vattenfall is a leading European energy company driving the transition to a sustainable energy system. We have been electrifying industries, powering homes and transforming life through innovation for more than 100 years and now have a mission of working for fossil freedom. We employ around 20,000 people mostly in our core markets in Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and the UK.

Job Description

The Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore- and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro renewable activities like Solar and Batteries. Our offshore business is amongst the top three players globally. It is our clear ambition to continue our profitable growth in the future to help Vattenfall succeed in its mission of fossil freedom. Offshore wind is a key contributor of the green electrons and molecules required to support our customer’s decarbonisation journey.

Do you want the opportunity to grow while working for fossil freedom? We’re looking for a solution-oriented, goal-driven person to help us unlock the true potential of our organisation.

Be in your element with Business Area Wind

Our wind, solar and batteries business offers a unique opportunity to be in your element working to help harness the forces which will take us to fossil freedom.

As part of BA Wind you will play a key role in one of the most exciting pipelines in the industry with 24GW of capacity stretching out more than a decade ahead across our key European markets.

You won’t only be involved in developing projects but pioneering cutting-edge innovation, new business models and ways of working with communities and the environment. Working as part of a leading European utility also means you could be helping a growing number of major businesses and brands achieve their own sustainability goals through partnerships.

As Senior Strategy Advisor and part of our project teams, you will closely collaborate with our internal sponsors to find solutions to our most complex challenges. Our business as well as the industry is in rapid change. To be successful, you need to leverage your strategic and commercial thinking and apply your problem solving skills. You will report to the Head of Strategic Projects, a strategic oriented function in the Business Unit Offshore.

We work in an international setting and with direct exposure to senior management. With us, you can develop and grow professionally. On your journey, you will be supported by a diverse group of peers, who have a background from management consulting companies or have previously worked in strategy functions.
