Summary
Tax Staff Accountant with 0 - 1 year of experience; responsible for the preparation and organization of a variety of tax compliance aspects of the company.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state corporate income and franchise tax returns, including preparation of supporting schedules and workpapers
• Calculate and prepare estimated tax payments and extensions
• Reconcile and analyze fixed assets for tax depreciation and amortization purposes - Assist in the response to state notices
- Research various federal and state tax issues and document findings of research
• Perform other tasks and projects as requested and assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MAcc preferred
- CPA eligible candidate or CPA preferred
- Basic knowledge of corporate income tax law
- Basic knowledge of multi-state income tax preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Motivated, hands-on approach and successful working in a team environment
Experience/Skills:
- 0 – 1 year experience in tax compliance
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with tax research software preferred
- Experience with income tax software a plus
