Job Description:

Under the leadership of the department director and assistant director, the Vascular Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the completion of daily studies ordered. Duties include performance of vascular ultrasound studies per IAC guidelines. Vascular studies include: Venous ultrasound, Arterial Ultrasound, Carotid ultrasound, Venous reflux studies, and assisting physician intra-operatively and in procedures. Any findings are reported to the interpreting physician which is important in delivering necessary urgent care. Participation in an on-call rotation, including weekend call is a requisite.

Experience

Vascular technician must be proficient in all modalities within Vascular system.

Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

Experience Preferred:

1-2 years acute care experience.

Experience with digital imaging and reporting.

Education

Graduate of an Ultrasound School.

Licensure/Certifications

Must be registered by ARDMS (RVT) or and/or CCI (RVS)

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification (required)

$62.91

$84.15

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.

Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $4.08

Hourly Night Shift Differential: $6.12
