Job Description
- Contribute to the development and execution of a technology roadmap to support our strategy and objectives; responsible for the execution of that roadmap.
- Lead the engineering team to follow strong development practices to ensure quality and continuous improvements to process.
- Taking a proactive approach to drive innovation and creative solutions through cutting-edge technologies and implementation of best practice tools, processes and initiatives.
- Take accountability for the overall vertical solution architecture function including participating in the technology decision making process.
- Overseeing the architecture, development, and upkeep of core platforms in collaboration with the engineering team at Xplor Technologies and vendor partners.
- Establish a culture of innovation and continuously improving standards for systems development.
- Contribute to the vision and direction for the future of our products and services.
- Demonstrate innovative thinking in defining and prototyping the use of leading-edge technologies and capabilities for every aspect of the company’s product family.
- Review new and existing solution architecture for compliance with best practices around security, scalability, and maintainability in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Develop and maintain current and future-state architectural blueprints and diagrams.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership in defining business strategy and in designing solutions to address current and future business requirements and infrastructure needs.
- Establish strong, productive relationships with company leadership to ensure the application and benefit of technologies are well understood, including advocacy and support of technological solutions of others to move the Company forward.
- Define and deliver architectural roadmaps, accounting for existing technical debt, development bottlenecks, and aspirational architecture initiatives to drive revenue, reduce total cost of ownership and cycle time, while supporting overarching company goals.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to the platform engineering team, establish objectives, and consistently enhance their performance and outcomes.
Qualifications
- 5 years' experience in architecting and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in leading software engineering teams.
- Expert-level knowledge with multiple programming languages such C#, SQL Server, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, one or more front-end Javascript frameworks (ie., Vue JS, Angular, React).
- Master level skills in concepts such as CI/CD, DevSecOps, Microservices, Containerization, Performance Engineering and API management.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based architecture with knowledge across Azure and Azure DevOps.
- Experience in waterfall and agile development practices.
- Strong business acumen to understand the big picture outcomes of technology within global organizations.
- Experience with Blazor .NET is a plus.

The average base salary pay range for this role is between $104,000$-$150,000 USD
May be considered for a discretionary bonus
