Key Responsibilities
Process Automation & Enhancement:
Automate recurring FP&A reporting processes such as weekly executive report-outs, regional sales KPI reviews, and board packages.
Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines that streamline these processes, ensuring data accuracy and reducing manual effort.
Work with key stakeholders from acquired companies to develop and implement reporting processes, and collaborate with IT to ensure the integration, quality, and availability of data from diverse systems.
Data Preparation:
Work with the Business Analyst and dashboard builder team to establish reliable data inputs by writing optimized SQL queries and other scripts.
Validate and format the raw data so that it meets the necessary quality standards for effective visualization.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with our FP&A analysts to understand their analytical needs and identify opportunities to automate routine tasks, thereby unlocking more time for strategic initiatives.
Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that automated processes align with overall business objectives and reporting requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
Assess current reporting workflows and identify areas for process improvements and increased automation.
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to continuously enhance financial reporting and data management processes.
Validation & Data Integrity:
Ensure rigorous data validation practices are in place to maintain high standards of accuracy and completeness in our reporting and across automated systems.
Document automated processes, ensuring a clear understanding across the team and facilitating seamless handovers when needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or data analytics, including hands-on experience in process automation.
Strong proficiency in SQL, with additional experience in scripting languages such as Python or R viewed as a significant asset.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools—especially Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Solid understanding of FP&A processes and financial analysis fundamentals.
Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to bridge technical details and business strategy effectively.
Familiarity with AI tools and their application in data analysis and process automation.
A passion for process improvement and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CMA, data analytics certifications).
Experience working in cross-functional teams to execute complex process improvement projects.
Demonstrable expertise in developing automation solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
