SMS is seeking a Sr. Information Assurance Engineer for our busy US Coast Guard contract. The positions includes multitasking on different systems and for different customers to advice and guide on teh RMF process. Position has the option to be hybrid after the first month of employment.

Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, performs Assess and Authorization (A&A) or other RMF and cybersecurity Compliance and Auditing processes and inspections USCG enterprise systems and networks.
- Multitask on different systems and different customers. Be able to advise/guide/validate Information System Security Officers on RMF process, eMASS.
- Performs compliance reviews of computer security plans, perform risk Assessments.
- Analyzes security requirements for information protection for enterprise systems and networks.
- Analyzes the sensitivity of information and performs vulnerability and risk assessments based on defined sensitivity and information flow.
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of ATO, ATO/C, ATC, IATT, DECOMM, Risk Acceptance, POA&M validation,
- Must be able to draft highly visible and sensitive memos for SCA, AO.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, must have excellent PowerPoint/Presentation skills.
- Be able to technically understand network diagrams, review security finds, Vulnerability scans, STIG results and make risk recommendations.
- Be able to research USCG/DOD/DHS requirements for deliverables
- Must have expert eMASS knowledge/ experience.
- Must have expert RMF knowledge /experience.
- Strong ISSO experience with all steps of RMF.
- Direct experience working as a Security Control Assessor Representative or experience working directly with Security Control Assessor.
- Strong working cybersecurity knowledge of large, complex IT environment
- 5 or more years professional experience in a related field
- IAT III or IAM level 3 cert required.
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher) required at the time of hire (U.S. CITIZENS ONLY)
