Mill Village Veterinary Hospital is expanding into a new, state-of-the-art facility — and we’re building a team of flexible, passionate, and proactive individuals ready to grow with us.We're looking for a Veterinary Assistant who thrives in a dynamic setting, can pivot between front-end and back-end responsibilities, and is excited about being cross-trained as part of a fully integrated team.🔧 What You'll Do:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Safely restrain patients for diagnostics, imaging, and surgery prep
- Administer medications under supervision and monitor patient status
- Clean, disinfect, and restock exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites
- Support with lab work, sample prep, and basic diagnostics
- Rotate through Client Service Representative (CSR) shifts: check-ins, phones, scheduling, and client education
- Help maintain hospital flow, including opening/closing responsibilities and restocking
- Participate in community involvement efforts and contribute to a team-first culture
- Dual Training Model: One partial CSR/front desk shift per week (7:00 AM–11:30 AM) ensures every assistant is client-savvy and understands full hospital flow
- Growth-Focused: We actively assess each team member’s strengths and support development into future surgery assistants, room leads, or client experience coordinators
- New Facility, Fresh Culture: We’re building smart, modern workflows — and your input matters
- Supportive Leadership: Regular check-ins, coaching, and a culture of mentorship from our Practice Manager and leads
- At least 6 months of experience in a veterinary, shelter, or animal handling setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, teachable attitude
- Comfort with multitasking and rotating responsibilities
- Available to work 2–3 Saturdays per month
- Interest in long-term growth within a hospital setting
