JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The López-Uribe Lab is hiring a part-time employee to work on surveying rare plants in Pennsylvania. The person in this position should have a botany background and have previous experience in plant surveys. Part of the data collection includes pollinator observations. Fieldwork may require overnight stays and long days in the field. The position is available from April 1 to July 31, 2026. Applications consist of a cover letter and CV.
Duties include:
- Survey rare plants across five sites in Pennsylvania
- Identify plants and characterize populations
- Collect pollinator visitation data
Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $18/hour.
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
