The Position:
Under the direction of the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager, the Asphalt Plant Maintenance Supervisor will manage the day-to-day maintenance, operations support and training for Asphalt Plants. Main duties will include maintenance support for breakdowns, winter maintenance planning, Preventative and Scheduled Maintenance program development and support, as well as Production troubleshooting and training.
Role and Responsibilities:
Safety
- Ensure a Safe and Ethical Work Environment
- Provide leadership and be a safety role model by promoting and enforcing safe work habits.
- Work with safety manager, other aggregate managers and field personnel to enforce OSHA/MSHA laws and regulations and promote safety within the organization.
Asphalt Plant Maintenance
- Work with foreman and Plant Managers to develop Scheduled and Preventative Maintenance Programs for their individual Plants.
- Coordinate Burner checks and other related Energy Star Programs to ensure efficient operations of all plants.
- Coordinate all Winter Maintenance Planning with Plant Foreman from Work Order creation to close out.
- Assist in identifying future Cap Ex projects including needs, ROI(s), budgets, and schedules.
- Support all Asphalt plant breakdowns during the construction season.
- Manage Asphalt Plant Maintenance crews during the production and maintenance seasons.
- Train existing and future asphalt plant personnel on proper use and maintenance of all asphalt plant related equipment.
- Work with Foreman to build, create, report to, and close maintenance work orders.
Asphalt Plant Operations
- Work with Plant Managers to properly train all asphalt plant personnel on plant operations including scheduling, planning, AC ordering, aggregates, ticketing, etc.
- Work with other areas of Walbec to support integrating other initiatives, i.e. Libra, Mines, system security, etc.
- Provide support to plant operations in calibrating all asphalt plants.
- Provide support to plant foreman and managers in trouble shooting mix related issues.
